Managing director of marketing agency shuffle Gavin White, 42, lives in Southsea with his wife and labrador. He recently launched Allotinabox, providing the knowledge and basics for growing your own food.
What would be your ideal weekend destination?
Illettes in Mallorca. It has the most beautiful beach and is such a great place to think, eat great food and to escape the day-to-day routine.
Not counting your loved ones, who would be your dream companion?
As I am in the middle of launching a new UK brand, for me it’s got to be Richard Reed, co-founder of one of the most recognised brands, Innocent. He’s a world class entrepreneur and someone who I respect.
What music would you take with you?
Go (the Woodstock mix) by Moby. He kick-started a new generation of music, which is just wow.
What about something to read?
The Alchemist – a modern classic that everyone should read. It’s truly inspirational and great for reading on holiday. It makes you think about life in a completely different light and appreciate the world.
What would be your ultimate way to relax?
Music and food. That’s all you need – and some great friends and family around you.
If money were no object, which shop would you head for?
I wouldn’t head for a shop. I would rather take care of my body, maybe go for a luxurious spa to keep myself healthy rather than buy material things.
What’s your all-time favourite film?
The Motorcycle Diaries is about the journey and written memoir of 23-year-old Ernesto Guevara, who would years later become internationally known as the iconic revolutionary Che Guevara. It explores friendship, youthful hedonism and how simple observations can change a person’s life.
We’re buying the drinks tonight. What’s your poison?
It’s got to be Bourbon, but anything liquor based will do nicely.
What are you doing this weekend?
I am going to Italy to pitch for a piece of business for my company ‘shuffle’, a digital marketing agency. This could be a really important step towards our company’s expansion, so I’m really excited about it!
What’s a favourite local destination for a weekend day out?
I love to go to Goodwood House, in Chichester. You don’t get many places as beautiful as that on your doorstep! There is a cracking pub there, which is a fantastic way to relax and chill-out ready for the week ahead.
