DIAMOND WEDDING: ‘We’re so happy, we’d do it all over again if we could’

The Hawks' Blue Square South clash at home to Braintree tonight has been postponed because of a waterlogged pitch.

A pitch inspection took place at West Leigh Park this afternoon, and with drainage issues still hampering the club, the recent heavy rainfall meant there was no chance the fixture could go ahead.

The postponement is yet another blow for the Hawks, who face a huge backlog of matches after having a string of games called off in the past two months because of weather conditions.

Gosport's match at home to Wimborne will go ahead after the Privett Park pitch passed a 2.30pm pitch inspection.
