What would be your ideal weekend destination?

The Cotswolds for walking, horse riding and real ale.

Not counting your loved ones, who would be your dream companion?

BBC Radio 6 DJ Giles Peterson.

I’d like to go rummaging in his crates.

What music would you take with you?

The Loft compilations.

It’s cool party music.

What about something to read?

I’ve just read The Girl with The Dragon Tattoo.

A lot of people had told me about it and crikey it’s violent.

Great plot, though, and well written.

What would be your ultimate way to relax?

A spa weekend.

A massage and a swim is a match made in heaven.

If money were no object, which shop would you head for?

You can’t beat a car booty.

I love all those Bargain Hunt-style programmes and I’m always on the look out for a car boot sale.

What’s your all-time favourite film?

I’ve just seen Midnight in Paris by Woody Allen.

It’s a gentle feelgood movie and you need one of those to lift your spirits every now and then.

We’re buying the drinks tonight. What’s your poison?

It’s warm, wet and incredibly dark, much like myself.

What are you doing this weekend?

I’m off to the Tate galleries in London.

I thought I’d take a peek at the Damien Hirst and Picasso exhibitions.

What’s a favourite local

destination for a weekend day out?

Any good tapas bar. I’m a sucker for paella. Or the CD and vinyl exchanges in North End. Heaven!
