Hello Chipsters. Has another week really passed? And what a miserable week it’s been. Your old pal Chipper certainly jinxed the weather by harping on about how lovely it had been.
I don’t know about where you live, but there’s been nothing but rain here at Dunyelping, and it couldn’t have come at a worse time. ‘Why, Chipper?’ I hear you shriek. Well, I’ll tell you.
As I’ve mentioned, the Dunyelping dog show is this week. Of course I need to make sure I look my best for the occasion so I’ve been having weekly fur treatments.
I know it’s a slightly feline thing to do and you might laugh, but my fur has never looked better and will hopefully wow the judges next week. That’s if this troublesome rain goes away.
You see friends, I was leaving the doggy salon after my latest treatment, fur gleaming brighter than the sun, when the heavens opened. By the time I got home I was a scruffy old mutt who had seen better days, making all my stylist’s hard work a waste of time.
My master told me off for shaking myself all over the sofa and I was banished to the garden and the naughty step to the patio. Not what a show contestant needs at this stressful time.
When I speak to you next I could be the champion of the Dunyelping dog show. Wouldn’t that be wonderful? Wish me luck, Chipsters! Until then, here is a picture of me caught in that horrid downpour. Be sure to colour it in and send it back to me.
Congratulations to the trio of lucky Chipsters listed below. You’ve all won a family ticket to Drusillas Park. What a lucky bunch you are!
If you didn’t win this time you can have a go at my new competition in which you can win an off-peak climbing session for you and up to a whopping 29 children/adults at indoor climbing centre, Rock Up at Whiteley.
I don’t think I even have 29 friends! I’m sure you popular people will, though. I hope you’ve got a head for heights.
Good luck, Chipsters.
