LETTER OF THE DAY: Council tax rise? Pity my income hasn’t grown...

Have your say

Children aged seven and above can fire a replica gun this weekend at the Mary Rose Museum in Portsmouth.

This is just one of the activities on offer during the Battle Stations event at the family-friendly venue.

They can also see what the fashions were in Tudor times by dressing up in nostalgic clothing and also take part in a Tudor gun drill.

The event runs from 11am until 1pm and again from 2pm until 4pm both tomorrow and Sunday.

Whilst at the Mary Rose Museum, view the Emmy Award-winning costumes from The Tudors which are now back on display.

You will instantly recognise the costumes, which were worn during the final season of the series starring Jonathan Rhys Meyers.

Entry into the Mary Rose Museum and participation in its events is included in your admission ticket into Portsmouth Historic Dockyard.

You ticket also gives you access to HMS Warrior 1860, National Museum of the Royal Navy, HMS Victory, Action Stations and the Mary Rose Museum.
