For preparing to jump 10,000ft out of an aeroplane, this week’s We Can Do It T-shirt winner is Laura Frampton.
Laura, of Salt Meat Lane, Gosport, will be taking part in a charity skydive to raise money for a children’s charity later this month.
The 22-year-old will be jumping out of a plane in tandem with a professional parachute instructor.
Laura, who has been doing criminology and forensic studies at the University of Portsmouth, says: ‘I’ve always wanted to do a skydive and then I thought about combining this with fundraising for a charity.
‘When I first signed up, I didn’t think too much of it.
‘But now the time is getting closer I’m starting to feel nervous.
‘I don’t have a fear of heights, but maybe after doing the jump I’ll get one.’
Laura will be in freefall for several thousand feet before her parachute opens, landing her safely back to the ground.
Laura will also be travelling at a teeth-gritting 120mph – all for the charity Kids, which helps disabled and young people.
Laura’s jump takes place in Salisbury on September 18 and she is hoping people will sponsor her.
‘I want to raise around £400 and am urging people to go online and donate,’ she says.
