As part of International Museum Day, the Royal Marines Museum in Eastney is offering free admission all day today.

Visitors can explore the fascinating history of the Royal Marines, taking a walk through history from 1664 and learning about the lives of the extraordinary people who have become Royal Marines.

Families can follow a recruit through training and on to deployment around the world.

They can creep through the jungle, marvel at the medal collection and step back in time in the Second World War Home Front kitchen.

The museum on Eastney Seafront is open from 10am until 5pm.
