Have your say

LOVE is in the fresh sea air at venues across Portsmouth this year.

Both Port Solent and Gunwharf Quays, with their harbour-side appeal are sure to be a popular attraction to spoil a loved one, and are going out of their way to help you show someone you care.

To help set the mood in Port Solent, a charming city Gent will be visiting the Boardwalk between 7pm and 9pm, armed with plenty of chocolates to help create the perfect romantic atmosphere for a special Valentines date to remember.

For those of you treating your loved ones early this year, there will be a special visit from the stilt-walking, chocolate-bearing Queen of Hearts on Sunday, between 12noon and 3pm.

Over in Gunwharf Quays, the popular retail and leisure venue begins the celebrations by first welcoming in Chinese New Year on Sunday.

There will be dragon dancers performing from midday, plus Martial Arts displays, Tai Chi demonstrations and traditional Chinese folk dancing all courtesy of the Portsmouth Chinese Association.

Then on Valentine’s Day, Love Heart Street Art gives creative lovers the chance to leave their special partner a message of love for all to see on the art wall.
