Have your say

Kevin Sturgeon, 49, is an engineer. He lives in Portsmouth with his wife Carol, son David, and two cats.

When did you last go away and where did you go?

I went to Cotswolds with Carol in February. It was such a wonderful trip. We visited Bourton-on the-Water, which was a very beautiful village. It is also known as the Venice of the Cotswolds.

What about the last theatre show you saw?

We went to see the Christmas Pantomine ‘Cinderella’ with Brian Conley and Gok Wan. We had a great time.

The last book you read?

I read A Street Cat Named Bob, written by James Bowen. It’s the story of a man who found an injured cat in the street and took care of him, even though he didn’t need a pet. The characters have adventures together and because of that, they are forever transformed.

What’s your favourite way to relax?

I really like watching soap operas or doing DIY. I also enjoy to interacting with my cats.

Which celeb would you most like to spend a weekend with?

I would like to spend a weekend with Lady Gaga or Kylie Minogue. I watched Kylie in Neighbours when I was younger.

Where do you shop?

I shop on Ebay for bargains, and Tesco and Sainsbury’s for food.

Where do you eat out?

When I go out, I eat at McDonald’s, a Wetherspoon pub or Beefeaters, because it has excellent vegetarian menus.

Where else do you like to visit?

I usually go to Cosham Community Centre or Port Solent, because it has beautiful scenery in the harbour, with all the expensive yachts.

What’s your signature dish, if you’re cooking?

Baked beans on toast.

Where’s good for a day out locally?

We like to go to Earnley Gardens Centre, because there are different themed gardens. There are also animals such as a giant tortoise.

Do you have any hobbies?

I like DIY, watching TV and driving. But I would like to talk about another hobby. My wife and I started to help injured cats and have now become an established voluntary group on Facebook called Lost and Found Cats in the Portsmouth area UK. Every day we help to reunite lost cats with their owners.
