Have your say

Lynn Seymour, 45, is a mum and assistant financial controller at the TJ group of companies, which deal with waste management. She runs a Slimming World group in Wymering.

When did you last go away and where did you go?

My husband, eldest son and I stayed in Windsor. I was taking part in the first Women V Cancer Ride the Night cycle ride, cycling 100km at night from Windsor racecourse into central London and back. This raised money for three women-specific cancer charities and I raised over £700.

What was the last gig/concert you went to?

My husband and I went to see The Christians, Hue and Cry and Go West at Portsmouth Guildhall. Later this year we are going to see Madness (right) in Brighton. We are also going to Carfest in August. Going to see live music is one of my favourite pastimes In the past few years, I have seen Rod Stewart, Paul Weller, Squeeze, Franz Ferdinand and the Red Hot Chili Peppers.

What about the last theatre show you saw?

I took my elder two children to see Chitty Chitty Bang Bang at The Mayflower. It’s one of my all-time favourite films.

And the last book you read?

As I’ve recently become a Slimming World consultant, any reading I’ve done has been related to that. I do have Miranda Hart’s autobiography to read. I enjoyed Jennifer Worth’s books. The TV programme Call the Midwife is based on them.

What’s your favourite way to relax?

I love having a long soak in the bath with a magazine to read and a glass of wine to drink. This is a luxury with three children in the house!

What do you watch on TV?

I like reality TV programmes such as One Born Every Minute and 24 Hours in
A&E. I have to confess that I also like Made in Chelsea and TOWIE, although there isn’t anything that I watch religiously.

Which celeb would you most like to spend a weekend with?

There are so many I would love to spend time with. I’d love to be backstage with the Rolling Stones, as I think their aftershow party would be amazing. I’d love to spend time with Miranda Hart (right), as I’m sure she would have me in stitches all weekend.

Where do you shop?

For clothes, Primark and New Look. I have recently lost over six stone in weight at Slimming World, so to be able to buy clothes in these shops is a bit of a novelty for me.

Where do you eat out?

We live within walking distance of Port Solent so that tends to be our first choice.

If the children aren’t with us, we may go to Rosie’s Vineyard or Relentless in Elm Grove.

What’s your signature dish if you’re cooking?

I love all the Slimming World recipes I have tried. But my favourite would be lamb rogan josh. It’s really tasty and filling.

Do you have any hobbies?

I enjoy cycling. I’ve recently completed a 100km charity ride and have also signed up for a 70km ride in the New Forest with my daughter.
