LETTER OF THE DAY: Camber walkway ‘pantomime’ could run forever

Have your say

Rachael Riches, 51, is the owner and manager of Hill Head Hair and Beauty. Rachael lives in Hill Head, is married and has two daughters and two grandchildren.

When did you last go away and where did you go?

I last went away to Tenerife with my husband, two daughters, their partners and my two grandchildren for new year 2013/14. We stayed in the hotel Guayarmina Princess in Costa Adeje. It was the first time we had been away all together and the hotel was absolutely great for families. I would highly recommend it.

What was the last gig/concert you went to?

The last concert I saw was a few years ago now. I went to see Take That at Wembley with my youngest daughter when Robbie Williams made his return debut. It was a great experience.

What was the last theatre show you saw?

Chicago when it came to the Kings Theatre in Southsea. It is my favourite show and I have also seen it on Broadway in New York.

And the last film you saw at the cinema or on DVD?

The last film I saw at the cinema was Captain Phillips starring Tom Hanks. It is based on a true story of the hijacking by Somali pirates of an American cargo ship.

What is your favourite way to relax?

I like spending time at home, especially in my garden when the weather is nice. I like to sit in the garden with a cold glass of white wine after a hard day at work.

What do you watch on TV?

I like a good drama, local news programmes and I enjoy Coronation Street as it seems to have a sense of humour that some of the other soaps lack.

And which programmes do you avoid?

I avoid watching anything to do with science fiction. I find anything to do with space particularly boring but my husband enjoys these kind of programmes unfortunately.

Which celeb would you most like to spend a day with?

I would love to spend a day with Jose Mourinho. I don’t know anything about football so I am not too sure what we would talk about, but he looks very nice!

Where do you shop?

I love shopping at Waitrose. The quality of the food is great and worth paying slightly more for. I also really like Knight and Lee in Southsea as it sells a lot of my favourite brands.

Where do you eat out?

If I eat out anywhere other than our local pub I enjoy going to Gunwharf Quays. I’m a fan of seafood so I like Loch Fyne.

What’s your signature dish?

Goat’s cheese and roasted vegetable tart. I use up any vegetables that need eating by throwing them all in. My family seem to enjoy it.

Where do you go for a day out?

I like Lymington as there is a variety of things to do there and some fantastic walks.

Do you have any hobbies?

As I am usually busy running my salon I don’t have a lot of time for hobbies. But my favourite thing is spending time with my family. I also enjoy long walks with my husband.
