DIAMOND WEDDING: ‘We’re so happy, we’d do it all over again if we could’

Have your say

Sainsbury’s Taste the Difference Range is without question one of the better supermarket own label ranges.

In most cases the wines actually do what they say on the label, they are better than the standard range and worth the extra price.

I’ve been particularly impressed with a pair of Spanish reds from the range this week. Taste the Difference Cepa Alegro Rioja Reserva 2006 (£9.49 on offer £7.12 until April 12) is a really well-made Rioja Reserva and great value at this price.

There’s the tell-tale background of vanilla from American oak with red fruits, spices and almost a bit of fruit cake. This would go really well with roast lamb.

Taste the Difference Priorat 2007

Amazing value and has real depth with dark fruits, chocolate and well-balanced oak.

Sainsbury’s £9.99, on offer at £7.49 until April 12
