LETTER OF THE DAY: ‘Drug shooting galleries’ - good or bad?

Have your say

MUNICIPAL COLLEGE: This photo, right, is of my old class taken during 1951 who attended the Municipal College in Portsmouth.

I think it was the chapel like building close to Charles Dickens’ house in Mile End and I remember well the smells emanating from the Smiths Crisps factory (long since demolished to make way for the new road system).

I’d love to be able to meet up with anyone who remembers those happy days.

FORD: I would like to get in touch with my cousin who Ihave not seen or spoken to for 36 years.

She was born Karen Ford in Wickham in about 1954 and was the daughter of Lionel Ford and Eileen Woodcock.

After her parents divorced she took the name of her stepfather and became Karen Cunliffe. I believe her mother still lives in the Gosport area.

The last time that I remember seeing her was in 1976 when I was seven years old. At that time The Ford family got together for a family reunion and were featured in a Portsmouth Evening News article concerning the event.
