ENDOVER: I am looking for relatives of George Oscar Wendover, who died in Germany on March 30, 1886, aged 17.

I lived in one of the houses of Neuenheim College in Heidelberg and am researching the English school dated from 1850 to 1906 that George went to.

according to Portsmouth Records Office, George’s father was an upholsterer and furniture-maker in the city and a shop was running until the 1970s.

George’s mother, Helene Wink, died after George was born in 1869 and his father died in 1874.

George had two older sisters who lived with their uncle Frederick Wink in Palmerston road, Portsmouth. I found a note in the Heidelberg newspaper that his uncle E Wendover had come to his burial.

The records office told me Edwin Wendover was an architect living near London.

I am trying to find out more about the circumstances of George’s death, or contact relatives of any other pupils of Neuenheim College.

ORCHARD: I am trying to get in touch with my father, Stephen Orchard, who I believe may be from the Portsmouth area.

He was born on October 2, 1953, and was married to Lesley. He has a sister called Carol and a brother with only one eye.

COLEMAN: I would love to find Ann, nee Coleman.

We grew up together in Harold Road, Southsea, from 1945 to about 1958.

I lived at 61, Ann at 59 and Norma at 57. I have managed to trace Norma and we are now back in contact with each other.

Ann had an older sister called Peggy to whom Ann and I were bridesmaid in 1948/1949. Ann would remember me as Valerie Riall.

KNIGHT: I am trying to find relatives of Albert James Knight and his wife Gladys Muriel Knight, nee Palmer.

Gladys died in Portsmouth on April 11, 1973. She was born in Lincoln on October 9, 1896.

Albert and Gladys had a daughter called Joyce. She was born in Farnham, Surrey in 1931.

I have lots of information to pass on to relatives about the Palmer family.
