LETTER OF THE DAY: Council tax rise? Pity my income hasn’t grown...

Have your say

Group members from a Gosport slimming club put their best foot forward to walk 21 miles for charity.

Women from the Peel Common Slimming World group hacked across Hampshire to raise money for the NSPCC.

Starting out from Queen Elizabeth Country Park, near Horndean, they completed the challenging trek and collected more than £1,000 in sponsorship.

Putting sore feet and flagging spirits to one side, the group stuck together and spurred each other on to cross the finish line.

Group leader, Colette Matthews, says: ‘We are all extremely proud of our achievement and the fact we are helping a very worthy cause.’
