Jessica Ridge, 12, of Hambledon, has raised nearly £21,000 for charities in four years after hearing about the plight of Jade Goody.

Holly Ure, of Gosport, did a skydive for her 18th birthday and raised £1,000 for Gosport Community Association.

Xanthe Coote, nine, of Cosham, donated her hair to the Little Princess Trust to make wigs for kids who have cancer.

Ines Amdouni, nine, of Landport, organised a purple day at St Swithuns Catholic Primary School in Southsea to raise money for Moebius Research Trust, which funds research into Mobius Syndrome, a rare facial paralysis condition.

Maddie Martin, eight, of Leigh Park, has spina bifida and is wheelchair bound – but that didn’t stop her getting out of her chair to run the last 100 yards of the Bupa Great South Run.
