Have your say

It may not have the largest range on the high street, but over the past few years the Co-op has worked really hard on its wine selection.

Here are some lovely wines, all on offer until June 12. The Co-operative Explorer’s Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc 2011(£6.99, on offer from £8.79) is much more interesting than many examples at this price on the shelves right now. St Hallett Shiraz 2008, Barossa (£6.99, on offer from £8.99) is full of dark fruits, spice and notes of vanilla. Zalze Shiraz Grenache Viognier 2010, Western Cape (£5.49, on offer from £7.49) should be the barbecue wine of the summer, a full-bodied Rhone blend with ripe plums and savoury notes and a long tasty finish.

St Hallett Riesling 2010, Barossa

Australian Riesling is one of the great all-rounders and this is an excellent introduction, wonderfully refreshing backed with limes and some mineral notes and a zingy finish. A bargain.
