Stately Stansted House provided a beautiful setting for Steve and Charlotte Osborne’s wedding ceremony and pictures.

The Havant couple were married in front of about 70 guests at the house and park in West Sussex.

Steve says: ‘We thought the grounds would be really nice for pictures. But the main reason for choosing the house was the lovely staircase, which was also amazing for the photos.’

Charlotte, 21, and 24-year-old Steve then enjoyed a reception with their family and friends at the Portsmouth Marriott and more guests arrived for an evening disco and buffet.

The wedding party included Steve’s five-year-old son Harvey, who was a pageboy, and the couple’s 16-month-old daughter Darcie, who was a flower girl.

Charlotte and Steve met when he was playing football on the field near her mum’s house. They were friends for a while before getting together.

He proposed at Gunwharf Quays as they were walking past the Spinnaker Tower. ‘It was quiet. not in front of loads of people or anything,’ says Steve. ‘Charlotte said she’d run off if I did anything like that!’

They’re planning a belated honeymoon next year in the Maldives.
