A vintage police car and golf buggy for wedding transport fitted Tristan and Jenna Flanagan to a tee.

The couple are both police officers and Tristan spends plenty of time on the golf course.

Jenna arrived at the ceremony in the vintage Wolseley car and the couple, both 28, had pictures taken in the golf buggy afterwards.

Tristan also reveals that he managed to play his favourite game on the day of the wedding. ‘We got married at East Horton Golf Club in Fair Oak where I’m a member and, yes, I managed to play 18 holes before the wedding. Myself, my best man and usher teed off at 8am. It was a good way to relax, calm the nerves.’

He says the club was chosen because it was such a nice venue, not so he could have a round of golf. And the Fareham couple had a lovely day with their guests.

‘We weren’t banking on the weather as it was November but we had bright sunshine. We were very lucky,’ says Tristan.

Their ceremony, wedding breakfast and evening do were all at the club, where Tristan sometimes raises money for charity with other players.

Jenna plays golf occasionally and doesn’t mind him heading for the course on a regular basis. But they had a bit of a joke with their wedding cake. Decorations on the top included a bride dragging her groom away from a golf buggy.

The evening guests were greeted at the venue with sparklers as it was close to Bonfire Night and then everyone enjoyed a disco and casino.

‘We hired casino tables and they went down really well,’ says Tristan. ‘They gave out fake money. People loved it, it was hard to drag them onto the dance floor.’

The couple spent their honeymoon in Cuba.
