PORTSMOUTH: Alverstone Road, Milton Road, Velder Avenue, Rodney Road, Copnor Road/Kendal Avenue, Eastern Road/Tangier Road, Laburnum Grove, Commercial Road, Kipling Road, Kirby Road, Lower Drayton Lane, Marketway, New Road/Kingston Road, Western Road.



All lines in the Havant area will be closed on Sunday until midday. During this time a near normal train service will run between London Waterloo and Petersfield.

A replacement bus service will run between Petersfield and Portsmouth Harbour.

The lines to and from Portsmouth via Cosham will remain open and train services will run on this route.


Track improvements and maintenance are taking place from 12.20am on Sunday until 4am on Monday between Barnham and Havant.

The 10.32pm service from London Victoria to Chichester will terminate at Barnham. A rail replacement bus service will operate.


On Saturday and Sunday services between Cardiff Central and Portsmouth Harbour will not call at Southampton Central. Most trains will call additionally

at Chandler’s Ford and Eastleigh. Change at Eastleigh for Southampton Central. Some other alterations will apply on this route.

On Sunday services between Bristol Temple Meads and Brighton will be subject to alteration due to improvement work in the Southampton area and between Havant and Brighton.


FIRST Due to the closure of Wych Lane in Bridgemary, services 81, 82, 83, 85, 86 and 88 are revised.

Quay Steet is shut to traffic heading towards Quay St Roundabout until 4pm daily. 38A and 138, 1A, 5, 5A, 57 and 63 will divert. Buses will not call at the bus stop in East Street near Cafe Tusk. Part of Catherington Lane will shut and X40 will be diverted. Southampton Hill in Titchfield will shut. Service 80 to Southampton will be diverted. Service 72 will bypass Titchfield.

Due to the application of an anti-skid surface, Avenue De Caen will be closed to services 5 and 19.

Service 5 will take the normal route to the D-Day Museum, and will not turn left into Avenue De Caen. Then Jack Cockerill Way, Clarence Parade, Palmerston Road for the normal route. Service 19 towards the city centre will take the normal route to the end of Clarendon Road, then Clarence Parade, Palmerston Road for the normal route. Service 19 towards North End will take the normal route to the end of Palmerston Road then Jack Cockerill Way, Clarence Esplanade, then back onto the normal route. Due to gas works the bus stop outside Nat West Bank opposite Debenhams will be closed until December 16. Services 5A-6 and 6A are to use the stop outside the off licence before Palmerston Road.

Services 5 and 19 will use a temporary stop which will be put in place outside The Lord Palmerston Pub on Palmerston Road.

Due to the gas mains connection work taking place at the junction of Palmerston Road and Osborne Road in Southsea, n traffic will be able to turn into Palmerston Road from Osborne Road.Service 19 towards Southsea will take the normal route to the end of Western Parade, then Duisburg Way/Clarence Parade, Avenue de Caen and back on normal route. A temporary stop will be placed at Queens Keep for the duration of the diversion. These works will not take place over the weekend.

Due to emergency gas works at the junction of Hilson Drive and Nashe Way, First is forced to divert the 93 service away from Nashe Way for safety reasons. Service 93 will take the normal route to Hilson Drive then continue to the top and turn into Thorni Avenue. Follow to the end then turn right into Fareham Park Road, follow down and then continue on normal route from there.
