FAREHAM: Redlands Lane, closed until March; Hillson Drive, until February; Frosthole Crescent, until January 23; Inverness Avenue, until February; Botley Road, Swanwick, until January 6.

GOSPORT: Wych Lane, closed until February; Bury Hall Lane, until January 31; Bury Road, until January 6; Grange Road, until January 30; Tichborne Way, until January 13.

HAVANT: Southleigh Road, closed until January 13; Petersfield Road, until January 13; New Road, until February; Middle Park Way, until January 13; Bartons Road, St Faiths, until January 4.

Today, the 0645 Portsmouth Harbour to London Waterloo will be altered and make extra stops at Liss and Liphook.


Because of late night engineering work from Tuesday, January 3 to Friday, January 6 the 2132 London Victoria to Portsmouth and Southsea service will be extended to Portsmouth Harbour.

Buses and ferries


Due to gas works the bus stop outside NatWest bank opposite Debenhams, in Osborne Road, Southsea, will be closed from Tuesday, January 3 to Friday, January 20. Services 5A-6 and 6A will stop outside the off-licence before Palmerston Road. Services 5 and 19 will use a temporary stop outside The Lord Palmerston Pub on Palmerston Road.

Palmerston Road, Southsea, southbound route will be closed from Sunday, January 23 to Thursday, January 27 2012. This is due to a gas mains connection work taking place at the junction of Palmerston Road and Osborne Road. No traffic will be able to turn into Palmerston Road from Osborne Road.

Service 19 will be diverted into Duisberg Way/Clarence Parade and Avenue de Caen. A temporary stop will be placed at Queens Keep for the duration of the diversion.

This diversion will not be in operation on Saturday. All services are to use their normal routes on these days.

St Georges Road, Old Portsmouth, will be closed from 4am until 8pm on Sunday, January 22. This is due to road works under Vernon Railway Bridge.

Bus services 5A, 6 and 16A from The Hard will be diverted.

Services from the Hard will travel via Queen Street, Edinburgh Road, City Centre South, Winston Churchill Avenue and Cambridge Road. Services will resume its normal route at Cambridge Junction.

Services 5A, 6 and 16A to The Hard will also be diverted.

Buses will travel their normal route to Cambridge Junction but will turn left into Anglesea Road to traffic lights at HMS Nelson. They will then turn left into Queen Street to The Hard.
