Consider yourself at home with Lionel Bart’s classic musical based on Charles Dickens’ novel, Oliver Twist. 

The streets of Victorian England come to life as Oliver, a malnourished orphan in a workhouse, becomes the neglected apprentice of an undertaker. Oliver escapes to London and finds acceptance amongst a group of petty thieves and pickpockets led by the elderly Fagin.

When Oliver is captured for a theft that he did not commit, Fagin employs the sinister Bill Sikes and the sympathetic Nancy to kidnap him back, threatening Oliver’s chances of discovering the true love of a family.

Supernova 8 at The Spring Arts Centre, Havant, February 6-9, 2019

Bench Theatre present Supernova, which started in 2000 with nine short plays staged over three evenings, ranging from modern drama to surrealist comedy.

To date, Bench has performed 68 new pieces in seven Supernova festivals, featuring every kind of theatre you can imagine. 

Authors across the UK have sent in their work, and the last stage of the selection process is taking place in the run-up to Christmas 2018. Over the four night run in February, come and see the chosen programme of new work.
