Greta and Vic Lindsell will celebrate a very special anniversary this week.
The couple, from Gosport, will mark 65 years of marriage tomorrow and are pictured here on their wedding day.
Known as a blue sapphire anniversary, their family and friends think it’s a fantastic achievement.
Greta and Vic were married on October 12, 1946. They met during the Second World War when Vic was in the army and Greta was in the women’s army corp.
Vic, 87, and Greta, 85, have lived in Gosport for almost all their married life.
They have five children, 15 grandchildren, two step-grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
Vic retired early to care for Greta when she developed heart problems and diabetes and has looked after her tirelessly for the past 30 years.
Unfortunately, he’s not so well himself now, but the couple still live together at home and hate to be apart.
