There were delays of about 15 minutes on the M27 this morning after a lorry dropped a metal filing cabinet on the road.

ROMANSE tweeted a picture of a lorry by the side of road near Junction 8.

An eyewitness said traffic was queueing westbound, with traffic officers from Highways England on hand to help the lorry.

A Hampshire Constabulary spokesman said officers were called at about 10.20am to reports of a metal filing cabinet obstructing one of the lanes.

The lorry was moved to the hard shoulder so the cabinet could be recovered.
