READERS are being called on to come up with wacky fundraising ideas for this year’s Children In Need.

Organisers of a Children In Need Charity Gala Night are urging people to get in touch with them so their charitable efforts can feature in the evening event.

The variety show will be held at The Kings Theatre, in Albert Road, Southsea, on Tuesday, November 15.

The event, which starts at 7.30pm, will see a host of comedians and singers take to the stage including X Factor star duo Same Difference.

Entry to the event costs £1, and all proceeds will go towards Children In Need.

The top 10 best fundraising ideas will be videoed by the theatre and displayed on a screen during individual cheque presentations. The theatre will video people with their ideas in the week leading up to the charitable cause.

Sandra Smith of The Kings said: ‘We want to send out this invitation to everyone of all ages.’ The closing date for entry is Saturday, October 15.

To enter, contact The Kings on (023) 9285 2232.
