BIDS have been flooding in for a luxury pasty that is being sold to raise cash for charity.

The pasty, titled the Very Important Pasty, was made by Rich Shaw, owner of Southwick Village Stores.

It contains some of the best ingredients in the world, including wagyu meat, and each one costs £230.

The store entered one into the World Pasty Championships in Cornwall on Saturday, March 7. Staff received various accolades at the contest, including Rich, pictured with his son Harrison, being crowned fourth best adult pasty maker in the world.

To celebrate the success, Rich is offering to make a Very Important Pasty and donate all the money to the Rowans Hospice in Purbrook. As of yesterday, the highest bid stood at £115. To bid go to http://tinyurl.com/m9h8whd
