Have your say

DARK winter nights can be daunting if you are going out alone.

Now a mobile phone application is being launched to give people reassurance. Chichester District Council is launching the scheme through its Careline service.

The application allows a person to leave a message on an application on their phone to say where they are going.

They can then set the application to call the mobile within a period of time. If this is not answered, it immediately alerts Chichester Careline, who will raise the alarm. People can also press a button on the phone if they are in trouble. Call (01243) 778688 or email chichestercareline@chichester.gov.uk
