POLICE have closed a road after a cyclist collided with a car.

The accident happened just before 8.15am in Basin Road, Chichester.

Firefighters managed to free the cyclist, who had ended up stuck underneath the car.

She is being assessed by paramedics and will shortly be taken to hospital by air ambulance.
