AN APPEAL has been made by police as the investigation continues into the death of a motorist.

Police are appealing for the driver of a Land Rover Defender who they believe saw a fatal collision in Selhurstpark Road, Goodwood, near Chichester.

The crash involved a black BMW M3 car which hit a tree near Goodwood racecourse before catching fire at about 3.30pm on Saturday, November 29.

A man driving the car died at the scene.

He has not yet been formally identified.

PC Doug Park, from Sussex Police Road Policing Investigations, said: ‘We are really keen to speak to the driver of a dark green Land Rover Defender, who was at the scene following the collision and would have witnessed the car engulfed in flames.’
