POLICE have issued another appeal for information about crash that seriously injured a cyclist in Eastney.

The male rider was taken to Queen Alexandra Hospital with serious head and back injuries following the accident at the junction of Cromwell Road and Highland Road, which led to the road being closed, as reported yesterday.

His injuries are not considered to be life threatening, but the 50-year-old from Southsea is receiving treatment after the crash, which happened at 8.45am on Wednesday.

A 78-year-old woman from Southsea – the driver of the silver Mercedes C200 that collided with the bike – was shaken but uninjured.
