A GROUP of apprentices raised more than £700 for charity after being inspired by a boy with cystic fibrosis.

The apprentices at Defence Munitions Gosport raised the cash through a number of fundraising activities and will hand it over to the Cystic Fibrosis Trust on June 26.

It comes as they narrowly missed out on winning the Brathay Challenge.

As reported, they met CF sufferer Ethan Marvin, six, from Magister Drive in Lee-on-the-Solent, in March.
