MORE than 20 apprentices from Gosport and Fareham will run a half-marathon to raise £1,000 for a children’s charity.

The apprentices from Network Rail, who work at HMS Sultan and live at HMS Collingwood, will race the Bath Half Marathon on Sunday for Action for Children.

The charity supports vulnerable and neglected children and young people.

All of the apprentices are on the advanced scheme, a three-year course teaching them new skills while they work as apprentice technicians.
