Archive week to begin with war workshop

THE first event in a series of talks and workshops that are part of Explore Your Archive Week 2016 will take place on Saturday.

At 11am James Daly, co-author of Portsmouth paper The Fight for Britain to the Fight for Bread: Portsmouth and the Impact of the First World War 1914-1925, will show how sources from the city’s archive collections were used to tell the story of Portsmouth people during the First World War.

The workshop, at Portsmouth Central Library, will include tips and advice for those who want to carry out some of their own research.

Places are limited and need to be booked in advance.
