AN UNEXPLODED bomb was found in the garden of a Portsmouth home.

Hampshire Constabulary were called to a house in Grafton Street, Buckland, shortly after 10am, after the homeowner found the bomb in his back garden.

The army’s bomb disposal unit were called, and arrived to find a cone-shaped 6in by 8in tall item in the garden.

A 40m cordon was put up around the area, as the team removed it.

The scene was cleared by 11.30am.
