ARSONISTS wreaked havoc after setting fire to three cars on an estate.

Fire engines were called to three blazes in Warren Park in the space of an hour and a half.

Each vehicle was found with smashed windows and each time the fire was started in the passenger compartment.

The first call came in at 11.40pm yesterday when a Ford Fiesta was on fire in Swanmore Road.

The fire took a crew from Havant about 20 minutes to put out.

At 12.40am the crew went to tackle a Hyundai on fire in a car port in Cadnam Lawn and this blaze took about 20 minutes to put out.

Moments later firefighters were called to a burning Renault Megane in Plumley Walk.

The fire spread to a Renault convertible parked nearby and the blaze took about 40 minutes to put out.

Crew manager Dusty Miller said: ‘All three cars were well-alight when we arrived.

‘All of the fires started in the passenger compartments and the windows had been smashed. The cause is doubtful.’

Police are now investigating. Call police with information on 101.
