PAINTERS are going head to head this weekend.

The annual Trinity Art Challenge, at Holy Trinity Church, in Trinity Green, Gosport, is on Saturday.

Michael Roy, a former keeper of the Queen’s art at Windsor, will be a guest judge.

The contest is open to artists of any age and any talents. Adults pay £5 to enter.

Contestants will paint their favourite scenes from the green’s ancient ramparts, waterfront views and the surroundings.
