VOLUNTEERS who help diabetes sufferers can be recognised in a charity group’s awards scheme.
Diabetes UK has opened nominations for its ‘Inspire Awards’, which aim to honour unsung heroes who go above and beyond what is expected of them to support people with diabetes.
A spokesman said: ‘We want to pay tribute to our incredible volunteers for the extraordinary support they give and their sheer hard work.’
The awards recognise and celebrate outstanding individuals as well as group volunteer efforts.
Winners are chosen by judging panels across the UK and will be presented with awards at Make A Difference conferences held early next year.
