A CONCERT kicked off anniversary celebrations for HMS Sultan.

The Gosport base Volunteer Band put on a spectacular concert as part of its HMS Sultan’s 60th anniversary celebrations.

The audience were treated to music from the movies and big band favourites.

The performance took place around a number of airframes in the Royal Naval Air Engineering and Survival School’s Newcommen Hangar.

The concert was supported by pipers from the Royal Naval Piping Association and the Portsmouth Military Wives’ Choir.
