THE HAYLING Island Businessmen’s Club barbecue will go ahead come rain or shine, say organisers.

Contingency plans have been put in place because of the summer’s unpredictable weather so far.

The annual event at Northney Farm, Hayling, raises money for the island’s Community Bus which is available to use free of charge to charities and good causes.

The barbecue takes place on July 14, starting at 8pm.

Tickets are priced at £16 per person for all you can eat and there is competitively priced beer, wine and soft drinks.

Status Quo tribute band Bogus Quo will perform supported by a disco, stalls and games.

Tickets are still available from the Lions Community Shop in Mengham, Haydens Garage in West Town and Hayling Community Centre in West Town.
