THE mayor of Gosport is inviting people to join him for an evening of music in aid of four charities.

The Band of Her Majesty’s Royal Marines at HMS Collingwood, in Fareham, will be providing the entertainment at St Mary’s Church in Alverstoke on February 1.

Proceeds from the evening will be divided among Councillor Richard Dickson’s four chosen charities for the year, which are Gosport Youth, Hampshire Autistic Society, the Beneficial Foundation and the Royal Navy and Royal Marines Charity.

Tickets cost £12 and can be bought from the mayor’s assistant at Gosport’s town hall on (023) 9254 5202.

They can also be bought directly from the parish
centre in Green Lane, Alverstoke, or by calling (023) 9258 0551.

The doors open at 6.45pm for a 7.30pm start.
