PEOPLE will be able to sample food provided by the Meals on Wheels service during a tasting session.
An open day is being held at County Hall, West Street, Chichester, as part of National Community Meals Week, which starts on Monday. It will be a chance to taste the range of food offered by Meals on Wheels – from main meals to soup, snacks and afternoon tea.
There will also be a dietician, who will be present to advise on specific dietary requirements.
Councillor Peter Catchpole, who is in charge of the service, said: ‘West Sussex is one of the few local authorities to continue providing a Meals on Wheels service.
‘The open day is a chance for people to try the meals for themselves, whether they are considering signing up for Meals on Wheels, or if they have a relative or friend who they feel would benefit from the service.’
The event takes place from 10am to 2pm on Thursday, October 6.
