THE ORGANISERS of the Portsmouth Beer Festival have thanked people for their support last weekend.

The festival was, according to organiser Ben Miles, a massive success.

He said: ‘The whole event was really great, to be honest.

‘We had brilliant numbers and a high turnout – this was our fourth year and people just keep coming back, which is great to see.’

The event also helped to raise money for The Thunder Foundation, which aims to raise money for children in Africa.

Ben said: ‘This is a really worthwhile cause and we were glad to have such an impact.’

Coming up later this year, the group will be bringing back the popular Oktoberfest event.

Ben explained: ‘We are doing it again.

‘Oktoberfest was a great success last year, so we are looking to do something just a big this time around.’
