A group of belly dancers made their first public appearance at a popular summer fair.

The four-strong group called Shamsa performed three dances at the Rowans Hospice fete at Purbrook.

The women are among dancers who attend weekly lessons at Crookhorn College, Waterlooville, held by instructor Susan Richardson, whose professional name is Shunnareh.

She led them in the display before hundreds of visitors to the fete.
