ATTEMPTS to squash as many people as possible into a tiny coffee shop are being held in aid of Children in Need.

The Lovely Coffee Shop, in Albert Road, Southsea, is hosting the Big Squeeze on Friday.

Participants will be given free cake and coffee before the big push to get everyone inside the shop.

They will each pay £5 to take part – all of which will be donated to the charity.

Dawn Gallery, who co-owns the shop with Doirita Jones, said: ‘People are always saying how small our shop is – it’s crowded with eight people in it.

‘We wanted to see how many people we could fit inside it and raise some money for a good cause at the same time.

‘Hopefully we’ll have so many they’ll be spilling out onto the street.’

The challenge starts at 7pm.
