Attempt murder probe: second man arrested

A guess the weight of the cake competition has helped raise money towards the Rowans Hospice's Dorothy's Dream campaign.

Nurses Sarah Hughes and Sharon Riches at the hospice made cakes for colleagues and visitors to guess the weight of in return for a 1 donation.

The competition raised 170 for the hospice's appeal to fund a new home service.

Ann Cooper, head of fundraising at the hospice, said: 'Everyone at the hospice is doing their best to encourage support for our appeal and this was another great way to get involved.'
