Big tidy-up planned to honour the Queen

PEOPLE are being asked to help make their communities look majestic in time for The Queen's 90th birthday celebrations.

Havant Borough Council is asking people to volunteer for a few hours to tidy up a grot spot in a chosen area.

The Clean for the Queen Campaign is a nationwide community clean-up operation that is taking place from Friday, March 4 to Sunday, March 6.

Councillor Tony Briggs, in charge of environment, said: ‘I hope residents of all ages along with groups and businesses will join in with this event.

‘It is a fantastic opportunity for people to get involved with improving their local community to mark this momentous occasion.’
