Local fire crews join more than 100 firefighters in tackling large thatch blaze at hotel

A BIN shed was on fire in the early hours of Sunday morning.

Havant Fire Station sent nine firefighters to the incident after they received a call at 3.30am.

A communal bin shed blaze, in Swanmore Road, Leigh Park, Havant, had to be extinguished after the outside caught fire.

The fire was put out by 3.50am.

A hosereel and two breathing apparatus sets were used by firefighters tackling the fire. The cause of the blaze is currently unknown and under investigation.
