FIREFIGHTERS were called to a blaze in scrubland.

Gosport fire station crews were called to the Browndown range, Alver Valley.

The call came in shortly before 1pm yesterday.

The fire service used a piece of equipment that looks like a rucksack full of water, which can then pump water on to a fire. The cause of the blaze is thought to be accidental and it was extinguished within 45 minutes.
