BULBS planted by volunteers, residents and a horticultural group have been blooming and brightening up an estate.

The flowers were planted last year as part of a plan to bring a dash of colour to Nashe Way, in Fareham.

And the plan has worked a treat, much to the delight of residents and volunteers.

Geoff Thickett and his wife Bridget, of Pine Walk, Sarisbury Green, were part of the Fareham in Bloom team.

They visited the site to see the flowers in bloom last week, with residents and ward councillor Peter Davies.

Fareham in Bloom is a team of volunteers who work with Fareham’s council to improve the borough’s parks and open spaces.
