A JUNIOR school has embraced Blue Day by dressing up in blue.

The children at Copnor Junior School, Copnor Road, took a day off from wearing their school uniform and dressed in blue to raise money for the Tom Prince Cancer Trust.

Kate Todd, teacher, said: ‘It is a great cause.

‘The children enjoy learning about new charities and this one is great because it is local.’

Molly Jeffery, 11, said: ‘I have liked dressing in blue and learning about Tom Prince.

‘It has been a good day.’
